2010
inPress Online
Inpresseon began life in 2010, as a specific product called ‘inPress Online’. This combined PR, SEO, and social media into a single discipline, significantly moving the dial forward on the traditional public relations agency model and placing brands into the three places that mattered most in the media of the day:
In the online press
Atop the Google rankings
On the social timelines
On a macro level, this approach is still relevant to successful communications today: you start with quality content, optimise it for each and every channel you disseminate it through, and then spread that messaging as far and wide as as possible in a consistent way, to build familiarity and trust with your audiences.
2015
All Roads Lead to Rome
As demand grew and the industry evolved, we significantly expanded the service offering to provide solutions across the entire marketing communications funnel. The branded website was placed at the heart of all activity, drawing audiences back to organisations’ own pages where they could be converted into leads, while also providing a tangible set of goalposts through which the impact of individual activities could be measured.
We called this an ‘All Roads Lead to Rome’ approach, because just like the ancient network of pathways leading back to the capital, one channel feeds into the next and creates a seamless customer journey towards purchase or contact. Indeed, the website remains a hugely important component within marketing today, providing a reputable homesquare for your products & services.
2025
The Atlantean Approach
In 2025, with the advent of AI, zero click search, walled social media gardens, e-commerce platforms and more, it is necessary to take a more outward looking and expansive approach to marketing.
In this respect we can conceptualise the process as shifting from the roads of Ancient Rome to the flowing waterways of the mythological city of Atlantis, which is built on a structure of concentric circles…
Our unique Atlantean Approach helps businesses build joined-up marketing strategies from the inside out, achieving growth across awareness, reputation, engagement, revenues, and ROI. This also provides a more sustainable approach to modern business development, meeting new and existing customers wherever they may be on their current journey - just be careful not to drown out your audiences with too many one way conversations!

It’s not often you have cause for a double celebration but this announcement definitely falls into that category. Everyone at FIPP is delighted for our good friend and valued colleague Sylkia as she temporarily departs on the new adventure that maternity leave brings. We’ll all be looking forward to welcoming her back in due course. And who better to replace her than our long-standing contributor and colleague Jamie Gavin, who already knows FIPP so well and has made excellent contributions to FIPP’s market-leading content. I’m looking forward to working with Jamie as we build on Sylkia’s fantastic new editorial strategy.

Jamie is an innovative professional marketeer who consistently delivers. I originally met Jamie whilst sourcing a Marketing Manager for a national company and he immediately hit the ground running and consistently delivers results. Since then I have worked for him on recruitment campaigns and helped where needed source people to fulfil his marketing objectives. I've watched him progress towards his goals with interest and admiration. I can highly recommend his knowledge of the marketing mix.
